SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT ENTRY LEVEL TESTING

OU are our best recruiters! Do you know someone who’s got what it takes to be a deputy sheriff?  Perhaps that quality candidate is you.  Whether its law enforcement or detentions, the first step is taking the written exam.  If you really want to be in law enforcement or detentions, take that test!  If you know someone who you believe would be good for law enforcement or detentions send them to a test!  

Please be advised our testing procedures will change effective August 2nd… 

1. Complete the application online and bring a copy of it with you to the test.  (www.joinsdsheriff.net). 
   
2. Register for a test by emailing recruit@sdsheriff.org, or call 858-974-2000.  Include your name, phone number, email address and the test date you are interested in. 
3. You may want to review the practice test on our website before you take the test.
